At Little Orphans Kitten Rescue (LOKR), we are dedicated to saving the most vulnerable animals—orphans who would otherwise face death on their own or in shelters. Since 2011, our trained foster volunteers—true heroes—have stepped in to provide bottle-feeding, warmth, and love to these fragile kittens, giving them the second chance they deserve.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to nurture motherless, unweaned kittens and prepare them for long, healthy, and happy lives in loving forever homes. Every tiny life we care for brings us closer to our vision of a world where no orphaned kitten is left without care or kindness. Guided by this mission and our values, our work is led by a dedicated volunteer board of directors: Nancy Hancock (Founder and Executive Director), Kathryn Kerensky (Board President), Liz McNulty (Secretary and Treasurer), and Mindy Gullett (Director).
Our foster families are crucial to our mission. They receive extensive training, ongoing support, and many of the supplies needed to care for these little orphans.
